This article, “Understanding the Great Commission” is excerpted from one of our HUB Pastors’ workshops on evangelism. In the pastors’ evangelism workshops we have them carefully examine every passage they can find which relates to evangelism. They look closely at all the related facts; asking Who? What? When? Where? Why? & How?
Is the Great Commission everything you thought it was?
You may be surprised at the answer.
This article gives a brief, yet comprehensive and thorough examination of Jesus’ commission found in Mathew 28.
We have been invited to return to the Philippines, Myanmar and Kenya. Those who have already taken our 5-day basic HUB course want further training. In addition, we continue to receive new invitations from other organizations in those countries asking us to come teach their people what we have taught others there. Word is also spreading to surrounding areas, and other groups from neighboring countries in African and Asian are also requesting HUB training. [Uganda, Tanzania, Nigeria, Pakistan, and India]
If you or your church, group of pastors, or organization is in either Asia or Africa and would like us to consider conducting HUB workshops for you and your people, please contact us right away at HUB@ilti.org so we may begin the process.
HUB is Expanding
I.L.T.I. has begun expanding HUB - 'How to Understand the Bible' by adding new workshops and increasing the scope and depth of existing ones. We are adding a 3-4 day set of workshops on word usage studies, enlarging our studies on context, and developing an advanced series of in-depth topical studies. Like our other HUB workshops, these workshops have the potential to transform leaders’ understanding of the Bible. However, these new workshops are very intensive and require participants to work harder. Yet once completed, they will have a far greater understanding of God and his principles.
Streamlined Workshops are also available!
For those of you who desire HUB teaching, we have now developed a fast paced, condensed, highly interactive version of the workshops we teach pastors overseas. This streamlined version contains similar teachings to the pastors’ workshops. However, we designed this version of HUB for lay people, using Bible passages, related to Christian life, which are often misunderstood.
Why These Workshops Work The Bible is God’s book to all mankind. He did not write it so that only the theologians or super-spiritual people would understand it. It is written so that everyone from new believers to educated theologians can glean insights from its pages. It is God’s Word to us, his people, written so that all may learn, all may grow, and all may benefit from reading and studying its content. These workshops will benefit any who truly desire to understand the Bible by giving them the skills and tools they need.
How Much Do These Workshops Cost? Over the past few years several churches and groups have hosted our HUB workshops. They not only actively participated in those workshops but welcomed members from other affiliated churches and organizations who were also interested. Both hosts and participants were blessed from those workshops. We too have been blessed by the opportunity to use the feedback and responses from those workshops as the core around which we have continued to build, enhance, and develop our HUB Course. I.L.T.I. does not charge for these services. It should also be noted that we do not require a minimum number of participants.
"What is the Gospel Message?" is the title of one of the worshops we use in our basic HUB classes. It is usually the first workshop we do on word studies because it is a simple one, fun to do, and drives home the point that it is important to understand how a word is used. Read more click here.
